My first experience on Ireland

Ireland is a beautiful country. Before coming there are some things you should know.

if you come to a host family, mealtimes are different : about 1:30 pm for lunch and 6:00 pm for dinner, and I hope you love Potatoes !
They love tea with milk. They drink it for breakfast and all day.
In the bathroom you don't have bidets and you don't have a mixer tap, one tap for the cold water and one tap for hot water.
You also need an adapter to charge phones and computers.
In Bray you have some clubs and bars, like The Harbour Bar where all the students go to talk and drink.

          Our individual experience:

- For 3 months I re-experienced my old student life and without responsibilities, other then a bit of study.I has been a happy time and I made good friends.

-After only one month, my experience has been lovely. My family consider me to be their daughter. The mum brought me to school every morning. They have three children and it was really easy to improve my English. I've met good friends and I've made good memories on all my trips.

-At the end of two months, my experience has been lovely, my English has improved a lot, I've met good friends and I've made good memories on all my trips. Best of all, my host family has been nice, although sometimes the house was dirty.
I'd like to come back soon !

Seasons in Ireland

When I told my friends that I was going to Ireland, they asked me why I was going to Ireland if I don't like beer.
Well, true. But I wanted to live four seasons in just one day.

It's cold, wet and windy outside but we can always bask in the warmth inside. Everything I need is here, big smile, big pint and an amazing atmosphere.
In one day we can gaze in wonder at beautiful landscapes, we can lie on the beach and after an hour we can climb a mountain.
Everyday we meet new people from everywhere, new cultures, new manners, new lovers, new friends, new... but the most important thing is that we can discover more about ourselves.

Simply put, Ireland is taking us into another world.

How to survive in Bray with Boris.

We are sharing this information because we had been living in Ireland for 2/3 months and we know all of the survival hacks.

Food:
Irish people usually eat and cook potatoes. In the host family they very frequently eat pizza, chips and nuggets. This kind of food isn't recommended for your health because it's junk food.
They eat earlier than Mediterranean countries do.

Drinks:
In Ireland, people often drink a lotof alcohol, especially on weekends. So, after parties it's very easy find booze on the streets.

Lifestyle:

The thing I like best about Ireland is the pubs because you can sip a whisky or a beer while listening to live music. In fact, every night a band plays in a pub. All shops clos earlier than Mediterranean shops, but they stay open all day.

For students, the lifestyle is nice because you have a lot of free time for doing interesting things with your friends, you only have to go to school in the morning and study a little in the afternoon.

Forecast and Weather.
Ireland in winter is very cold. If you don't want to freeze, pack your winter clothes. Because in Ireland it's always windy or rainy.

Surviving the food in Ireland

Hi there, we are students with different  nationalities and we are going to talk about Irish food.
The main thing to know is that Irish people eat a lot of potatoes!

We've noticed another difference between our food (Japanese, Mexican and Spanish) and Irish food. Irish food is really simple to make and always uses the same recipes and ingredients.
Also, they don't have many kind of sauces, only for example mayonnaise, ketchup and gravy.

The quality of all kinds of meat is very good. Beef is especially cheap, you can also buy sweets very cheaply. There are lots of fast food restaurants you can get take away from.
The Irish love alcohol and pubs. They drink the most alcohol in Europe.
We've researched  the behaviour of  Irish people and we found that they are friendly with a good sense of humour. We've noticed the reason is because the are drunk all the time.

BE CAREFUL! If you live in Ireland more than a year your face will turn into a
Mr. Potato Head
